Kieron-Scott Woodhouse , a 23 year old British student of Middlesex University , in collaboration with a Chinese manufacturer, has designed and implemented a phone using a single stick of bamboo 4 years. The smartphone, called  Bamboo ADzero , is based on Android operating system and weighs about half an iPhone despite having a larger display.

“ The whole experience so far has been amazing and totally unexpected , “said Kieron-Scott. ”The completion of my final year of study and work have been challenging, but project underway and complete each other well and is a great start to my career. I can not wait to see my phone in stores this year . “

The  Bamboo ADzero  will be marketed in China although it is expected to arrive in some stores in the United Kingdom. Not been provided with information on availability and price.
