The first Android smartphone based on Intel’s Medfield hardware platform will be launched later this weekend. The announcement was made by Paul Otellini, Intel CEO, conrso in a meeting with investors.
No further details were added on the manufacturer or characteristics of the device even though it may be the company’s Lenovo K800, seen at the Mobile World Congress .
The K800 has a 4.5 inch display with 720p HD resolution and 8 megapixel camera. The Android operating system is customized with the proprietary interface LEOS UI. Even Motorola is among the partners of Intel.
