Microprocessor giant specimen demonstrated device, built around the 32nm processor platforms Atom Medfield and the operating system Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The exact specifications are Intel-phone 9.5 mm remain under a veil of secrecy, however, some parameters have been revealed yet.
The device, acting as a model for producers who wish to join, is built around single-chip system Medfield, which, unlike the current single-Atom-processor Atom-Chip together with other components such as graphics accelerator. Regarding the latter, it is unclear whether Intel is going to take advantage of the productive solutions like PowerVR SGX 543MP2 or it integrates the less powerful.
As part of Medfield shows a new signal processor for image processing that can take pictures 1600×1200 at 20 frames / sec – the sample itself is able to remove the rear phone 8-megapixel camera with a lower frequency of 10 frames / sec.
The first Medfield-communicators, for which the stated competitive ratio of performance to autonomy, will be launched no earlier than the first half of 2012.
