Motorola has announced at CES in Las Vegas the new DROID 4 , the thinnest smartphone based on Google’s Android operating system equipped with side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The Motorola DROID 4 supports LTE networks and is equipped with a processor dual core 1.2GHz , 1GB of RAM, backlit QWERTY keyboard with five rows, 4.0-inch display with QHD resolution, 16GB of onboard memory, 8-megapixel camera with Full HD (1080p). At launch, the Motorola DROID 4 will be based on version 2.3.5 Gingerbread Android and then will be updated to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich .

Among the accessories are dedicated to the Lapdock 100 with 10.1-inch display, the Lapdock 500 per 14-inch camera and Ethernet, a HD Dock , HD statio n and a car holder .

The Motorola DROID 4 will be marketed in the U.S. by the operatorVerizon . In the coming months is likely to be also presented a version of this smartphone for the European market.
