Microsoft unveiled during the conference Gamescom in Germany, some new features and game titles Xbox Live that will arrive this fall on smarthone platform based on Windows 7.5 Phone Mango .
The tight integration of the ecosystem of Xbox Live could allow Microsoft to differentiate its Windows 7 Phone Mango from rivalApple’s iPhone OS and Android .
Among the new features of Xbox Live , we find the “avatar awardables” , wearable items like badges of our avatars that will be obtained by unlocking levels of games, and the ability to buy things, “in game ”by “Microsoft points ”. There is also a “ parental control ”and an improved multiplayer with more rapid synchronization.
Microsoft has also revealed 14 new titles for Xbox LIVE, which will be available on “Mango”: Beaks & Beards Cave Area, Bug Village, Burn the Rope, Chickens Can not Fly, Collapse, Gravity Guy, Farm Frenzy 2, Fight Game Rivals, IonballEX, Kinectimals Mobile, Mush, Orbital, TextTwist 2 and Toy Soldiers Boot Camp. In addition, the first title for Windows Phone “M-rated” will be Splinter Cell: Conviction will arrive in late autumn.
