To activate the new protection system is to go to the homepage of the service and allow the two stages of verification. Once done, an installation wizard will associate your phone number with the Dropbox account. Dropbox will send a verification code to six digits each time you attempt to access your account. Alternatively, you can download “ mobile app authenticatior ”on Android, iOS, Windows Phone or BlackBerry to generate the codes. After setting the two-step verification, Dropbox will also give an emergency code that you can use if the were to lose access to your phone. Latest news is the possibility of receiving an email notification every time you try to access a device not recognized.
