The difference between the  Motorola RAZR  and the new  RAZR MAXX  relates only to the presence, in the second, plus a battery.Virtually identical to everything else and it seems that they can use even the same versions of firmware. In the future, so if you had a new ROM for one of two devices, you can safely install it on both without making any modifications.
